Incline Village and Crystal Bay: July 2-4
Pay tribute to the heroes of the community with a range of events spread across three days. Start on July 2 from 8 to 10am with a pancake breakfast served by the North Lake Tahoe Fire Department before the parade at the main Firehouse on Tanager, followed by the Local Heroes Parade featuring floats, classic cars, and even a special Kid’s Bike Parade. In the afternoon, explore the Community Fair with carnival games, vendor booths, and a meet-and-greet with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office. Don’t miss the Incline Tahoe Foundation’s Summerfest at 4pm at University of Nevada Reno at Lake Tahoe Campus for live music, food, and a chance to sample over 20 craft beers. Show your support for Incline High School athletics by grabbing some barbecue and a drink at the Highlander Pride Backyard BBQ fundraiser.
Patriotic Performances
Celebrate America’s musical heritage with the Tahoe Symphony’s 19th annual Red, White & Tahoe Blue performance on July 3 at St. Francis of Assisi, 89451. This tradition features a full orchestra playing patriotic classics like The Battle Hymn of the Republic. Audience members can even participate in an auction for the chance to conduct The Stars and Stripes Forever!
On July 4, participate in a ceremony at 7:45pm where the community respectfully retires old and worn American flags.
Honor local veterans with a special pancake breakfast hosted by the IVCB Veterans Club at the Aspen Grove Community Center. Enjoy a hearty breakfast and support a worthy cause.
4th of July Events in Tahoe City
From noon until 10pm, enjoy live music, local DJs and keep the kids entertained with fun activities like face painting and more. This free, family-friendly event is a fantastic way to spend a relaxing afternoon by the lake. Learn more here.

4th of July Events in Truckee
Pancake Breakfast
Enjoy a complimentary pancake breakfast at Truckee Fire Station 92. This local tradition allows you to connect with the community and support the Truckee Firefighters Charitable Fund, which provides scholarships to aspiring firefighters and emergency medical professionals.
Firecracker Mile
Lace up and participate in the Firecracker Mile, a fun run open to runners of all abilities. The one-mile course follows the parade route, making it a great way to warm up before the day’s festivities.
West End Beach Celebration with Fireworks
Residents and homeowners can purchase tickets to enjoy a full day of festivities at West End Beach. This event features live music, games, and a front-row seat to the fireworks display over Donner Lake.
Fireworks Viewing Options
If you’re not attending the West End Beach Celebration, you can still enjoy the fireworks display from various locations around Donner Lake. Head to Donner Memorial State Park’s beaches for a scenic view. Grab a spot on one of Truckee’s many public piers (remember to share). For a more adventurous experience, hike the Donner Lake Rim Trail, Donner Peak, or other nearby trails for breathtaking panoramic views – just be sure to set off early enough to find your spot before sunset.
